أنهيت قرأتي لهذا الكتاب الإسبوع الماضي وأستمتعت به جداً وهو كتاب شيق سهل الحمل وخفيف الوزن وطباعته جيده، وثمنه بسيط في متناول الكل خصوصاً الطلاب حيث يبلغ ثمنه 15 جنيهاً مصرياً. يحتوي الكتاب علي قاموس مصطلحات مفيد جداً.  ولي بعض الملاحظات وهي إن قلة المراجع التي يعتمد عليها الكتاب جعلت بعض المعلومات قديمة نوعاً ما ربما كان للدكتور عبد الجليل عبد الحميد هويدي مؤلف الكتاب وجهة نظره لجعل الكتاب مختصراً مفيداً للكل ولاحظت تضارب في معلومات ثانوية شتت فكري قليلاً لكن ماذكر بالكتاب يجعلك تسبح في عالم الأفكار والفضاء الكوني متأملاً في بعض الحلول وبعض مشكلات العلم وكيف هي حياتنا علي الأرض وكيف نشأ كوكب الأرض. لماذا الحياة على الأرض دون سائر الكواكب التسعة؟ هذا هو السؤال الذي يدور حوله مضمون الكتاب في 160 صفحة متوسطة الحجم. جيولوجية المجموعة الشمسية ملخص الكتاب: يقدم الكتاب نبذة مبسطة عن الشمس والكواكب التسعة التي تدور حولها وكذلك وصف موجز للأقمار والكويكبات والشهب والنيازك التي توجد في مجموعتنا الشمسية من حيث خصائصها كأجرام للمجموعة الشمسية ويجيب الكتاب على السؤال القائل لما...

قسم العلماء العلوم الطبيعية إلي ثمانية فروع رئيسية هي الكمياء، والفيزياء، والفلك، وعلوم الأرض (الجيولوجيا)، والأحياء، وعلم الجو، وعلم دراسة المحيطات والبحار، وعلم المادة، وبينهما علوم مشتركة ويتفرع منها علوم دقيقة. أي أن الجيولوجيا أو علم الأرض أحد الفروع الرئيسية للعلوم الطبيعية. في مصر بلغ القصور أن تدرس الجيولوجيا للقسم الأدبي في المرحلة الثانوية الذي يؤهل لكليات اللغة العربية والدراسات الإنسانية والأدبية ولا تدرس للقسم العلمي الذي يؤهل لدراسة الجيولوجيا في كليات العلوم! حيث المرحلة الثانوية في مصر هي المؤهلة للدراسات الجامعية. ومما زاد الطين بلة أن الطلبة الذين درسوا الجيولوجيا بالقسم الأدبي لا يستطيعون أن يلتحقوا بكلية العلوم ليدرسوا علم الجيولوجيا! وبلغ قصر النظر التخطيطي بواضعي المناهج الذي يظهر وكأنه خيانة واضحة للوطن والشعب، بأن يجعلوها مادة إختيارية لطلبة القسم الأدبي وبالطبع لا يختارها إلا قليل القليل من طلبة الأدبيات الذين لن يستفيدوا شيئاً من دراستها عند إلتحاقهم بالجامعة. قصر النظر التخطيطي جعل الشعب يجهل كيفية إستخراج ثرواته من باطن أرضه مثل البترول والغاز وا...

A loner is a person who avoids or does not actively seek human interaction or prefers to be alone, (wikipedia). What if the loner become a scientist? I think understanding loner scientists reaction with live and their communications to people near them is so hard, but if we realized that there are a kind of scientist need to be more lonely to think better, they're need extraordinary live style. Could that be better to give those kind of scientist a space/good place to invent and make the earth a better place? Are there things you aren’t getting to learn or do in classes that you think are important? What sort of experiences do you want to get out of school and how do you think school can or should help you prepare for a career? My respond here focus on, the method of studying geology. It's helpful to study how particular branch of geoscience are developed, like how continental drift theory are become the most accepted theory, but it's not necessary to study how seismic investigation are developed thorough the time. Students need to know how to interpret a seismic section; not to know who developed that branch of science so the large introductions of any subject in collage is like wasting the time. How is the web changing science? Join Science Online London 2011 to find out. My brain tried to find out that with others on twitter the best brainstorming online tools on web. I tweet a lot of thoughts, and questions about science blogging and science policies during the live stream . And here is some of the problem that I'm interested in it. Personally i hate speaking on behalf of employers or organizations, I hate that fear of say something unprofessionally, specially when you wondering or blogging about your job or your career. You know that style of speaking/blogging "I'm awesome and my employer/organization is the best" we say that, because we don't want to loss our jobs.
